REPLY, with its Vietnamese title Những thanh âm bình dị, is an architectural book that I wrote and published in 2025. The publication began with a thought by architect Nguyễn Hồng Quang: “each house needs to set aside a little emptiness”.
From this simple idea, the book selects a number of representative residential projects completed by Toob Studio over the course of ten years, as a way of tracing the practice’s architectural journey. Through each project, REPLY opens up reflections on emptiness, light, ventilation, everyday life, and the quiet values that shape the quality of a home.
More than a collection of projects, REPLY | Những thanh âm bình dị is also a conversation about how architecture can listen, respond, and support human life through the most familiar things.
